What exactly makes a friendship ticks wonderfully? It gets desponding when you do not receive what you give. It's terribly ironic to place your complete trust in someone only to have that someone deem you as someone unreliable. It's terribly sad when friends turn to you only in times of difficulty.
Blame it on confirmation bias. Perhaps I'm simply deliberately looking out for such disappointing and subtle acts to confirm my pessismistic thoughts.

I was having dinner with a friend the other day. She commented that girls who are attached often committed one serious mistake - forsaking their friends for their other half. How true. You dont really need a female friend who's attached to demostrate that fact to you. Just look around and you discovered that females usually shop with their bfs. I'm not bitter about this. I guess this is how our social circle moulded us to be: when you are the only one who's single, you often find yourself home alone because most of your friends who are attached will be spending their time with their bfs. And when you finally get hooked up, it's inevitable that your life revolves around your other half, because your friends who are attached will still be spending time with their bf.
Sometimes I heard anecdotes of how some friend cant be accompanying us because she or her bf is going somewhere (be it army, overseas, blah blah blah) in a few days' time for a pathetic few days and it makes me wonder if their relationship is really that fragile to not be able to withstand a few days of absence. I dont know if I have ever committed these "crimes". But I certainly hope not, because I dont think I ever like to make my friends feel like they are spare tyres. In case you are reading this and thinking that," wah lau eh, this sin yee ah.. say pple she also like that what.." then pardon my kaobei-ing-ness. Yes, yes, double standards.. But these are just my opinions..

Sis is finally back from Holland. Called her when we reached the airport (we were late!) to check if she has arrived, only to be informed that she has already landed but they cant alight the plane yet as someone had suffered a heart attack on the plane and they are waiting for the paramedics to evacuate the person out of the plane. After some time, she finally appeared. Think she looks prettier now that she's fairer. Oh, the person who suffered the heart attack didnt make it. Pronounced dead on spot by the paramedics I think. Heard from my sis that the old man was on the plump side and he suffered a heart attack 30 minutes before touch down. His poor wife was crying her eyes out. Kind of sad. Made a pact with dear to exercise regularly from now on.. I dont want either of us to be in the wife's position one day. *choy!!* Anyway, she got me a LV card holder.. hehehe.. so happy! The LV bag she bought for my mum was very nice as well.. My mum said I could share with her.. *yeah!* But that's for sure since I was the one who picked out the designs..
Alright.. guess that's for now since the night is getting darker.. Looking forward to the countdown party with the E1 peeps tomorrow.. Happy new year, pull your ears!!

Went shopping yesterday and I'm real happy. Happy not because I bought dozens of dresses/shoes but because I bought a real bargain! I paid $29.90 for a dress at Zara that cost $99 originally! And it's my size!! It's rare to get such a cheap bargain at Zara and somemore it's my size can..! Simply love the dress! Hope someone gets married soon or that I have to attend some important functions, so I can flaunt the dress. *haha*
Alright, this month is filled with events. First up, Treetop walk with my colleagues. Attended the walk despite being sick and decided to get an MC on Monday.. Bet you guys must be thinking," wah.. can go for walk under the hot sun, but cannot go to work is it?" Hehe.. work and play has different priorities for me ma... alright, so here are some pictures of the walk:
